The Witcher production is in full swing in England after nearly a month of filming. Director Stephen Surjik who directs the first two episodes of the Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan starring Netflix hit is filming a second week of nightshoots in England.
The Witcher filmed in Kent over the weekend
The first location where filming took place after Epping is Jolly Farm in Sevenoaks, Kent where they filmed on Saturday night. Jolly Farm is an old-fashioned farm with a vintage packed farmhouse and an ancient stable yard and provides plenty of aspects for a shoot location with its quaint cottage and farmyard appeal, beautiful landscape, remote settings and ancient woodland.
We do not have information about the cast who filmed there, but it is very likely a farmhouse where Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri stop in their journey.
The Witcher filming at the Virginia Water Lake
The second location is Virginia Water Lake in Surrey where nightshoots took place last night. Virginia Water lake with the Cascade waterfalls, and the Leptis Magna roman ruins is a picturesque location close to the studio.
We have heard that horses and a large crew were involved in the filming. Windsor Great Parks of which Virginia Water is part of, is expected to host The Witcher season 3 for a few more days, as the crew film in other parts of the vast park.
The Witcher Season 3 is expected to film until August/September 2022 with a release date possibly in Spring 2023. Meanwhile, The Witcher prequel Blood Origin has completed the reshoots and expected to release in the second half of 2022.
