The third season of Netflix’s The Witcher starring Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan is debuting this month, but despite that, casting for the next season is already underway. First we had an audition for Zoltan Chivay, now we have a few tidbits on the loveable barber-surgeon and vampire, Regis.
Netflix is looking for a vampire, who is also a barber-surgeon
We’ve learned that Netflix is now actively looking for its Regis for The Witcher Season 4. The plan is to attract a major and very capable Hollywood star in his late 50s or 60s for a big role in the series.
It’s clear that Netflix is betting big on this particular role, and no wonder, Regis a fan-favorite character from the books and the games and expectations are high. Plus, he should have a major presence until the end of the series.
Regis was first introduced in Andrzej Sapkowski’s Baptism of Fire and judging by Zoltan‘s audition, that is what The Witcher Season 4 will be adapting. The Hansa is coming together.

This continues The Witcher‘s “tradition” of casting one or two major names per season. Henry Cavill, Lars Mikkelsen, MyAnna Buring, Michelle Yeoh, Dolph Lundgren, to name a few. It seems that the big name of Season 4 might be Regis.
The Witcher Season 4 is currently planned to enter production in September and later go straight into Season 5, so we’ll know who will play Regis sooner rather than later.
