June is getting closer and closer, and with it the start of The Hedge Knight‘s production in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Recently we revealed some of the locations that will be used for the filming and today we have a new director.
Owen Harris joins A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight

Owen Harris has joined the directors’ team of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight. Harris is best known for his Black Mirror episode “San Junipero”, which received universal acclaim from both critics and audiences and won an Emmy.
Harris also directed Black Mirror episodes “Be Right Back” and “Striking Vipers” as well as series Mrs. Davis, Troy: Fall of a City and more.
Harris joins another director we recently revealed: Harry Bradbeer, who directed episodes of Fleabag, Killing Eve, both Enola Holmes movies and more.
In other news, Egg actor Dexter Sol Ansell already shaved his head in preparation for filming starting in mid-June. Watch the video below:
Also, we have a Game of Thrones art director joining as production designer for this series. He also did Raised by Wolves. That makes three former Raised by Wolves cast and crew now working on a Westeros-related projects, after Abubakar Salim (Alyn Velaryon) and Amanda Collin (Jeyne Arryn)
House of the Dragon Season 2 will premiere on HBO in June 2024 and filming for The Hedge Knight starts then as well. We will keep following both shows, so stay tuned!
