First Look at Liam Hemsworth in The Witcher May Be Coming Soon

The fourth season of Netflix’s The Witcher is in its last few weeks of pre-production before filming starts. The new season will see Liam Hemsworth step into the Henry Cavill-sized shoes of Geralt of Rivia and we might be getting a first glimpse of that rather soon.

There’s lots of work being done now at Longcross Studios, including screen tests and photoshoots with Liam Hemsworth in costume and wig. We’re hearing that Netflix is planning to release a first look rather soon.

Filming is planned to start mid-April, so we could probably expect the first look at Liam as Geralt to drop in about a month. Last time we had a “now in production” announcement a few days after cameras started rolling for Season 3, so we’d expect something similar this time as well.

Besides that, we’re hearing Liam Hemsworth has been training a lot, bulking up for his role and looking quite big now. We also heard at one point that his Geralt will also have a stubble, not unlike Henry Cavill. Something like in the attached photo above, perhaps.

That said, and just speculating now, perhaps Geralt could have a beard for story purposes in the first episodes, before he meets a certain barber-surgeon, who would lend his services to the witcher.

Filming for The Witcher Season 4 is planned to last from April until November 2024. A Summer 2025 release could still be possible considering Season 3 wrapped in September 2022 and released in June 2023.

The Witcher Season 4 is in production for a 2025 release. Andrzej Sapkowski’s new Witcher book has a planned Winter 2024/2025 release with The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep anime set for a late 2024 release as well.
