The Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon continues filming this week in the backlot of Leavesden Studios. News on the Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, and Olivia Cooke starring hit series has been sparse since they moved back to the studio in July after nearly a month of outdoor shoots in Wales. The continuing strike by the Writers Guild of America and the Screen Actors Guild has also cast a gloom over the series with some actors and writers being part of the striking guilds.
The Wall makes a return!
The Wall was a prominent location throughout the entirety of the original Game of Thrones series with many iconic scenes happening there. Being the home of House Stark, we were expecting to see Winterfell as the main Northern location in House of the Dragon Season 2, but The Wall is a nice surprise.
Aerial photos and videos by UnBoxPHD of the Leavesden Studios set show the The Wall, specifically the very top. Watch the full video above.

We expect scenes of Jace Targaryen (Harry Collett) and Cregan Stark to be filmed there during Jace’s journey up North at the behest of his mother, Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen.
It’s likely we’ll see Cregan Stark taking Jace to visit The Wall and and as characters do, have a serious conversation at the top.

The production of Season 2 is expected to wrap in September and is expected to be released in 2024. Do follow Redanian Intelligence for news on House of the Dragon and other fantasy series.
