The second season of HBO’s massive hit House of the Dragon has been very busy filming scenes in the towns of Caceres and Trujillo, in Spain. Thanks to many onlookers, we have plenty of footage of the first few days of filming with more days to come until May 25.

Warning: MAJOR spoliers ahead.

First up we have the aftermath of the infamous Blood & Cheese scene in which Daemon Targaryen‘s hired thugs nicknamed Blood and Cheese sneak into the Red Keep and kill King Aegon Targaryen‘s firstborn son, Jaehaerys as a response to the murder of Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen‘s son Lucerys in the finale of the first season.

An eye for an eye, a son for a son. Lucerys will be avenged.” @ Daemon Targaryen

The Green faction has organized a funeral for the young prince with Alicent Hightower and Helaena Targaryen sitting in an open carriage. The funeral procession also includes an open casket with young prince’s body.

The procession was accompanied by a man announcing: “Behold the work of Rhaenyra the Cruel!

Later in the season, a battle occurs at Rook’s rest where Rhaenys Targaryen, the Queen Who Never Was, is lead into a trap by Aegon’s newly appointed Hand of the King, Criston Cole.

In the climax of the battle, Rhaenys on her dragon Meleys seems victorious when she’s ambushed from the sky by a surprise attack by brothers Aegon and Aemond on Sunfyre and the massive Vhagar. Aegon gets badly burned and injured, while Rhaenys and Meleys are killed.

In the victory procession, we see a giant blue dragon head dragged across King’s Landing with a man announcing: “Behold! The traitor dragon Meleys, slain at Rook’s rest! For the King!
