House of the Dragon Season 2 Casting Two More Roles, including Blood

The second season of HBO’s hit series House of the Dragon starring Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith and Olivia Cooke is in pre-production at Leavesden Studios and is gearing up for filming very soon. Previously, we’ve heard about casting of young Targaryen twins and Cheese. Now, it looks like we have Blood as well.

According to prominent scooper Daniel RPK, House of the Dragon Season 2 is looking for a ‘Boris’, who is easily identifiable as Blood of the Blood and Cheese duo. Boris is large, tough and very tall. He’s a man who’s willing to do violence without question. The actor for Blood is also encouraged to have comedic chops.

Earlier, we reported on someone who sounded like Cheese in an audition video for a ‘Charlie C’. Thus, it looks like we have some early casting info on Blood and Cheese, or Boris and Charlie, as the codenames would have it.

In the audition, Boris and Charlie seem to be seeking a royal prince to kidnap and are sneaking into what sounds like the Red Keep, but their intent on kidnapping might be a misdirection for casting purposes as casting scripts often differ from real ones that end up on the final product.

The other casting call is for someone codenamed ‘Goon‘. A series regular, a snob, very arrogant and aged around 30. The actor for Goon must have horse riding skills as most of his scenes will be on horseback. This role is slightly less obvious than Blood as there can be various possibilities as to who it might be.
