Lucca Comics and Games has confirmed that Netflix’s The Witcher panels will be held October 31 and November 1 with each panel lasting two hours. During the October 31 panel, it’s expected that Netflix will be debuting the first trailer for the series.

For now, Lucca has released a teaser trailer for the convention, though the footage is familiar.

The first of the panels will be held at 3 PM local time, featuring showrunner Lauren S Hissrich, author Andrzej Sapkowski, and leading ladies, Anya Chalotra (Yennefer) and Freya Allan (Ciri). Notably absent is lead actor Henry Cavill (Geralt). Sapkowski will have his own panel on October 30 at 2 PM local time, though it’s expected to focus on the book series rather than the Netflix adaptation.

The following day, a second panel will begin at 2 PM local time. Executive producer Tomek Baginski, costume designer Tim Aslam, and production designer Andrew Laws will be holding the floor and taking fan questions. Baginski, taking some of the tepid reactions to production leaks in stride, promises to answer questions on the infamous Nilfgaardian armor.

Redanian Intelligence agents will be on the ground for Lucca 2019, so keep an eye out for our coverage the week of the convention. We’ll have livetweets, roundups, and articles digging into the fun festivities throughout the city.

  1. Cavill’s hips are as wide as his shoulders, what a turn off. That wig is a disaster, cheap, cheap, cheapest, like anything the europeans do. Witcher is a knock off of Thor, Lord of the Rings… he looks like a blind begger w the bubonic plague. Freaking disaster… try be original some time…
