It’s quite the time to be a Witcher fan these days. Not only we got a whole new book in 2025, but CD Projekt Red will release a new expansion of The Witcher 3 in 2027 as well as targeting The Witcher 4 in 2028. Now in addition to that Andrzej Sapkowski revealed he has another book in the works.
New Witcher book should be complete by the end of 2027

Thanks to a report by Wiedzminlandia, during the Copernicon event in Torun, Poland, Andrzej Sapkowski revealed that his new Witcher book should be complete by the end of 2027.
The new book is once again expected to be about Geralt, although nothing is known about when in Geralt’s life it could take place. One could assume it can be a sequel to Crossroads of Ravens, which tells us the story of a 18-year old Geralt.
In addition to that, Sapkowski was asked whether he’ll write any Witcher books centered around other characters, namely Yennefer. Sapkowski rejected that idea, saying he sees no sense in doing that.
Regarding the release dates for the new book, Crossroads of Ravens was released in Poland in December 2024, then internationally in September 2025. We should expect a similar delay in international dates next time around as well. If it comes out in late 2027/first half of 2028 in Poland, we can expect late 2028/early 2029 internationally.
CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 4 is in full production targeting 2028 with The Witcher 3‘s Songs of the Past expansion expedted in 2027. The Witcher Season 5 is in post-production for a 2027 release. Andrzej Sapkowski’s new Witcher book Crossroads of Ravens is available internationally since September 30, 2025.
