By Pre-production for the fourth season of Netflix’s The Witcher is in its final stretch with cameras rolling very soon. With that, we expect Netflix to release the first look at Liam Hemsworth’s version of Geralt of Rivia who will take over from Henry Cavill. But before that, we have some information regarding the new outfits for Geralt and Ciri.
Geralt’s new outfit inspired by Witcher 3’s Grandmaster Wolven armor?
We’ve heard a few things regarding Geralt’s new outfit. He wears a black leather jacket, unbuttoned, and similar length to the one seen in The Witcher 3’s Grandmaster Wolven armor. The style and cut itself is also descibed to us as something similar to that, but simpler with fewer accessories.
The white wig and the stubble also look good on Liam Hemsworth, we are told. In any case, we’ll see for ourselves soon enough when they start filming Season 4.
Here’s a recent photo of Hemsworth from the gym, showing how he bulked up for the role of Geralt.
Costume designer Lucinda Wright said about Liam last summer: “I’ve met Liam briefly and he is six foot four and another beautiful specimen for a costume designer to showcase, so I’m very lucky. It’s very exciting as well because he’s going to bring something special.“
Ciri’s new costume details with The Rats
As any book reader knows, Season 4 will be a transformational one for Ciri and that includes her looks. We’re told that she has shorter hair this season and has a new outfit for her time with the Rats.
The outfit, we’re told, isn’t as colorful as in the books. Simple brown pants and boots with a beige shirt. We were told that this also can be seen as somewhat similar to Ciri’s base outfit in The Witcher 3, but with fewer accessories.
Not too long now until we get an official first glimpse of The Witcher Season 4.
The Witcher Season 4 is in production for a 2025 release. Andrzej Sapkowski’s new Witcher book has a planned Winter 2024/2025 release with The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep anime set for a late 2024 release as well.
