A Look at New Filming Locations of The Witcher Season 4

The month of April is already peeking from the corner and that’s when the fourth season of Netflix’s The Witcher will begin filming. The new season that will debut Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia has been in pre-production for a while now and the next phase is very close. With the final weeks of preparation underway, we have some new filming locations that the cast and crew will visit.

The Crystal Grotto at Painshill Park

One of the locations that will be featured in the next season is The Crystal Grotto and its surroundings, located near Cobham, UK, a little south-west of London.

We won’t try to guess what location will it represent since it could be anything, really. A very memorable scene between Geralt and Avallac’h from the books comes to mind, but it could be for something else entirely.

Then there’s also the surroundings. Interesting looking places for Geralt and his Hansa to pass by, perhaps.

Muslim Burial Ground and Peace Garden, Horsell Common

The Peace Garden at the Muslim Burial Ground near the town of Woking is also a location of The Witcher Season 4. This one could be a little easier to narrow down in terms of what it may represent in The Continent just by looking at the layout.

The first option could be Emhyr’s palace garden in the City of Golden Towers in Nilfgaard. Another possibility would be a palace garden in Redania.

This year The Witcher will also film in Devon, specifically at the Haytor Quarry and Haytor Rocks. There will likely be more locations in Devon, but these are the ones we currently know of.

Large open areas with gorgeous vistas, very likely scenes with characters on riding on horseback or something of that sort.

Another new location that we know of is Puzzlewood, located in Gloucestershire, England. It’s believed to have been an inspiration for J. R. R. Tolkien and has been a very popular filming location over the years with such projects filming there as Star Wars, Harry Potter, Merlin and more.

The likeliest candidate to be here is once again Geralt with his Hansa, just by the looks of the place.

Of course, The Witcher will once again use the local and affordable locations and woods in Surrey, near Longcross Studios. Bourne Woods, for example has become a staple. As for locations outside England, we’ll surely hear more about them sooner rather than later.

The Witcher Season 4 is has been out since October 30, 2025. Andrzej Sapkowski’s new Witcher book Crossroads of Ravens is available internationally since September 30, 2025. CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 4 is now in full production.
