House of the Dragon Season 2 Finds Jeyne Arryn

The second season of HBO’s hit series House of the Dragon starring Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith and Olivia Cooke is continuing its production through the ongoing strikes until roughly September of this year. While we know a good number of new cast in the new season, only a handful of them we know to be major parts. Now, another one joins that list.

We’ve learned that Danish actress Amanda Collin has joined House of the Dragon Season 2 as Jeyne Arryn, Lady of the Eyrie, also known as Maiden of the Vale. In the new season, Jeyne is expected to interact with Jacaerys Targaryen, likely in the earlier episodes.

Later she’s expected to also interact with Joffrey Velaryon, but we cannot say with any certainty whether that will happen in Season 2 or after.

Collin’s recent roles include Raised by Wolves, A Horrible Woman, Department Q and many more.

Interestingly, in Raised by Wolves, Collin was the co-lead with Abubakar Salim, who has been cast as Alyn Velaryon in House of the Dragon Season 2. It appears that after its cancellation, both leads of that series found a new home in House of the Dragon.

With filming more than halfway done, as confirmed by George RR Martin, the production is expected to wrap in September if everything continues smoothly. Do follow Redanian Intelligence for more news of House of the Dragon and other series.
