The third season of Netflix’s The Witcher is premiering in 10 days and thanks to IGN, we have a new featurette with many new shots that show off new characters, new scenes along with some things from Vol. 2 that will arrive on July 27.
Geralt recovering in Brokilon
One of the more surprising shots is one from the season finale of The Witcher Season 3. It’s surprising they included anything from Vol. 2, to be honest, but we see Henry Cavill’s Geralt with Joey Batey’s Jaskier.
From the same episode we see another shot of Meng’er Zhang‘s Milva, shooting an arrow.
Ciri in the Korath desert
Another much-anticipated sequence from Vol. 2 is Episode 7, which will be almost entirely focused on Ciri’s time in the Korath desert. Here we have our first few shots.
First Look at Mistle, Gallatin, Keira and Margarita
Then we have our first look at Christelle Elwin‘s Mistle, who will also be introduced along with the rest of the Rats in Vol. 2 and who will be the lead of their prequel that is currently filming in South Africa.
Along with that we have our first look at Robbie Amell‘s Gallatin, who will be opposing Francesca.
We also see Safiyya Ingar‘s Keira and Rochelle Rose‘s Margarita in one quick shot, but we don’t get a good look on their faces.
Thanedd ball and coup
The new clip also introduced many new shots from the two-parter that is the Thanedd ball and then the coup. We’ll see the ball conclude Vol. 1, while the coup will open Vol. 2
The Family
Finally, we get a great many shots of Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri during various episodes of the season.
The Witcher Season 4 is in production for a 2025 release. Andrzej Sapkowski’s new Witcher book has a planned Winter 2024/2025 release with The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep anime set for a late 2024 release as well.
