News has been extremely scarce regarding the next anime movie in The Witcher Netflix universe. It was announced in September 2021 and there have been zero official news since. There was one rumor that it would be called Sirens of the Deep. Today, we are able to confirm that and more!
Christina Wren is the voice of Essi Daven in The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep!

We have learned that the next Witcher anime movie by Studio Mir is indeed called The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep. Moreover, it will feature none other than Essi Daven as one of its leads, who had a very memorable and tragic role in Andrzej Sapkowski’s short story A Little Sacrifice.
The short story was sadly absent from The Witcher Season 1, but it looks like Sirens of the Deeps is its adaptation.

Essi Daven will be voiced by Christina Wren, who has appeared in person and in voice in such projects as Man of Steel alongside Henry Cavill and Zack Snyder’s upcoming Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas alongside Anya Chalotra.
Wren posted in June 2022 on her Instagram page several photos from the recording session of Sirens of the Deep with some commentary:
“I’ve wanted to sing in an animated film since I was a kid and last week I had the supreme joy of that dream coming to life. “
In the clip below, you can also hear Wren’s cover of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene”, which she recorded as the audition for the anime.
The Witcher Season 2 and Season 3 composer Joseph Trapanese is attached to do the score for The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep.
But still one major question remains.
Who is the voice of Geralt?

The big grumpy white-haired elephant in the room here still remains. Who will voice Geralt? Henry Cavill or Liam Hemsworth?
Sirens of the Deep has been in development long before Henry Cavill left The Witcher and as you saw above, recordings were taking place in June 2022, so there is a chance that it’s Henry. If it is, it would be his final appearance as Geralt instead of the Season 3 finale.
If not, then it’s Liam Hemsworth. We’ll have to wait and see.
As for Jaskier, well, there’s absolutely no doubt who would be voicing the famous bard. We don’t have an explicit confirmation on Joey Batey yet, but there can be no one else.
The Witcher Season 3 is available on Netflix with The Rats prequel in post-production and The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep anime by Studio Mir is far in production. Stay tuned to Redanian Intelligence and do pop into our Discord server to join in on The Witcher conversation.
