In a little less than ten days, the long-awaited second season of Netflix’s The Witcher will premiere on Netflix. Over the past days and weeks, the streaming giant has already put out several glimpses at what’s to come and hopefully therell be more as we get closer to the release.

For convenience’s sake, we’ve gathered all of them here and we’ll keep this article updated if any new clips come along.

Teaser and Trailer

For starters, we have the teaser trailer released during Witchercon earlier this year and of course the official trailer for Season 2. For a detailed analysis of all scenes, see our frame-by-frame breakdown articles for the teaser and trailer.

Introducing the Myriapod

One of several new monsters in Season 2, we first shared the news that a Myriapod will be featured in a September 2020 report. Geralt (Henry Cavill) will fight this terrifying centipede in Episode 3, titled What is Lost.

A Leshen runs free in Kaer Morhen

Our readers have known for some time that Season 2 will have a big fight scene involving a Leshen at the witcher keep of Kaer Morhen. The woodland monster also featured in Netflix’s animated feature film Nightmare of the Wolf, albeit in a somewhat different shape.

“You knew I would call you out on it”

This little scene is our first impression of Geralt speaking to Vesemir. Just watching this clip, it’s easy to understand why everyone is full of praise of Kim Bodnia as Vesemir. He and Cavill’s Geralt seem to have a natural understanding and sense of humor and we can’t wait to see more of their relationship.

Along comes a new pupil

Here we have a rather short and sadly mute clip of Vesemir and Ciri (Freya Allan) examining a knife in what looks like Kaer Morhen’s armory. We’re hoping the aged witcher will get to pass on a few valuable lessons to his young disciple like the difference between a ghoul and an alghoul…

“There’s a Bruxa in the house”

On their way to Kaer Morhen, Geralt and Ciri will stop at an old friend’s manor for a good night’s sleep or so they think. Eisode 1 of the new season is a retelling of the short-story A Grain of Truth and we’re in for a wild ride as Geralt will have to look out for Ciri will fighting a dangerous monsters.

Old friends and knives

Speaking of A Grain of Truth, the centerpiece of this beloved story is certainly Nivellen (Kristofer Hivju), a cursed aristrocrat and the owner of the manor. Below, we can see him and Geralt engaging in a friendly bit of competitive knifethrowing all while wondering about the state of the Continent.
