The Witcher Season 2 Official Synopsis Revealed

After months of silence, Netflix has finally started talking about the second season of The Witcher. It began with two new stills of Henry Cavill’s Geralt in his new armor, with promises of more to come tomorrow. Now, ComicBook.com have gotten their hands on the official synopsis of season two.

Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.

For readers of Blood of Elves, this synopsis should come as no suprise. The only major deviation is that Geralt believes Yennefer has died at Sodden Hill, but that was already the case at the end of season one.

Take a look at the new Geralt pictures as well!

Stay tuned with Redanian Intelligence’s Twitter account throughout the week, as Netflix has already implied there is more official news coming soon.

  1. I’m really apprehensive about this season they still have too many plot holes that have to be filled. As well as an list of issues the show had in the first season.

  2. They have only season 2 to cemented relationship between Geralt and Ciri, but we will be focused on fun with new bold and brave demons and genderbending Gaunter O Dimm from many years later game timeline.
If they f*cked it up only other solution in later seasons will be frequently sharing Geralt and Ciri dreams, but it will be extremly difficult without ocasional cringefest.

  3. Geralt’s mourning over Yen, OMG, I wanna see it. Lauren said in an interview some time ago that we’ll see Geralt showcase his feelings more. Everything he held inside in s1, in s2 they will explode. Maybe it’s because of this? Cavill will destroy us but it will worth it. I hope that they will use this opportunity to explore Geralt’s and Yen’s relationship in depth. What better chance than when you think you lost someone for ever?

  4. I love that Geralt will think Yen is dead. It was obvious that he would search for her from Ciri’s vision and going to Sodden and finding out she died to save everyone will destroy him. That’s the drama I want to see for Geralt. Him losing the person he loved, grieving but finding the strength to take care of Ciri. Brilliant! I can’t wait for his story in s2 and how he’ll react when he finds out Yen’s alive. Thanks RI for the updates.

    1. Same here. Henry will be excellent showing his pain for Yen and also trying to be a role model for Ciri without having a clue what a teenage girl needs. I’m looking forward to suffer because of Geralt’s pain.
