After months of speculation Amazon finally revealed the main cast of their highly anticipated Lord of the Rings series. Following this month’s announcement we were able to uncover another actor who will be joining the likes of Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur and Nazanin Boniadi on their journey through Middle-earth.

According to our sources, Simon Merrells has been cast in a recurring role in the show, his exact role is still unknown. The fact that it’s only a recurring guest role might be the reason why he was missing from the big cast announcement, which most likely included only the main cast of the first season.
