Shaun Dooley confirmed as King Foltest and other tidbits

One comment

For months we have been speculating which character Shaun Dooley would portray – ever since his announcement in December. Today we finally got a confirmation. Thewitcher.tv has reached out to Netflix and confirmed his role. Welcome, Foltest, King of Temeria!

That is all not to say Shaun didn’t help us out. Earlier today he posted a hint about his role in Instagram showing a crown.

We only know of Shaun’s filming in three instances: in January he was training for horseback riding, then a week later he filmed for one day in Castle Kreuzenstein in Austria. Then he was in Budapest in March while most of the crew was busy filming in Canary Islands and last week he came back again to film for one day presumably at the Egri castle. So while his role isn’t big in Season 1, we will certainly see more of King Foltest in future seasons.

Additionally, we have another casting scoop, although a minor one. Daniel Burke will play an unnamed Nilfgaardian soldier in an Alik Sakharov episode (1, 2, 7 or 8).

UPDATE: It has been revealed that Hungarian actor Kembe Sorel will appear in Episodes 7 and 8 as Hegor’s friend 2. As previously reported, Hegor will be played by Joshua Higgott. So who is Hegor and how many friends does he have?

Who will be the next important name we find out to have been cast? We can’t wait to investigate and find out.
