By The fifth and final season of Netflix’s The Witcher starring Liam Hemsworth, Freya Allan and Anya Chalotra is deep in post-production as we speak with release date being sometime later this year. There’s not much news at this particular stage, but we do have some casting news today and it’s a fan-favorite.
Ellie Taylor joins The Witcher as Duchess Anna Henrietta
We can confirm that actress and comedian Ellie Taylor has joined the final season of The Witcher as Anna Henrietta, Duchess of Toussaint. In Andrzej Sapkowski’s books, the duchess was a love interest of our bard Jaskier and we can expect to see her somewhere in the middle of the final season.
Many fans also know Anna Henrietta from the brilliant Blood & Wine expansion of CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher 3, where the duchess’ role was expanded somewhat.
Many, but not all, also know that this particular Anna Henrietta was voiced by none other than MyAnna Buring, who later played Tissaia de Vries in the Netflix’s series.
Ellie Taylor’s acting credits include Ted Lasso, Knuckles, Late Night Mash and more.
Other Toussantois cast include Andy Apollo as knight and Geralt’s new friend Reynart de Bois-Fresnes, Taylor James as Baron de Trastamara and others.
The Witcher Season 5 is in post-production for a 2026 release. Andrzej Sapkowski’s new Witcher book Crossroads of Ravens is available internationally since September 30, 2025. CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 4 is now in full production.
