The next Witcher game from CD Projekt Red is shrouded in mystery as we know next to nothing about it. Full production only started this year and there’s no knowing how long that will take. Nevertheless, we have one new detail to share about it.
Jake Lampert to play Branko

We’ve learned that actor Jake Lampert (Andor, Call the Midwife) will play a character named Branko in the new Witcher game. Unfortunately, this is where the info ends as we don’t know whether Branko is a friend or a foe and how do we interact with him in the game.
That being said, the name Branko itself is a slavic name, which could possibly imply that Branko is more likely to be from the Northern Kingdoms as opposed to Nilfgaard or Skellige, as those locations have more Germanic names.
Game development takes a long time, so it will be years before we find out who Branko is and what he does in the The Witcher 4. Until then, that is all we have aside from the occasional teasing by CDPR and Doug Cockle, who recently confirmed that he’s back:
“I can’t say anything about it. What we know is that Geralt will be part of the game, we just don’t know how much and the game won’t focus on Geralt, so it’s not about him this time. We don’t know who it’s about, I’m excited to find out!“
The Witcher Season 5 is in post-production for a 2026 release. Andrzej Sapkowski’s new Witcher book Crossroads of Ravens is available internationally since September 30, 2025. CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 4 is now in full production.
