By With only ten days until Henry Cavill’s last hurrah as Geralt of Rivia in Vol. 2 of The Witcher Season 3, the team behind the show has already been working on Season 4 with Liam Hemsworth.
As such, executive producer Tomek Baginski revealed to Express Online that Hemsworth has already had his makeup test as Geralt of Rivia.
“One thing I can tell is I’ve already seen [Liam] in Witcher makeup. And in the Witcher look. And he looks awesome.”
Joey Batey too said in one of the recent interviews that he’s already seen Liam Hemsworth’s makeup test as Geralt of Rivia: “I’ve seen a few of his makeup tests, but we’re not going to tell you much about it.”
As of now, we don’t know who will be responsible for Geralt’s hair and makeup from now on, but we do know that Henry Cavill had his own personal team for his wigs and makeup, who won’t be working on Season 4 for obvious reasons.
The lead hair and makeup designer in The Witcher for the rest of the cast has been Deb Watson in Season 2 and Season 3, so perhaps it will be her working with Liam Hemsworth as well.
As for costumes, we already confirmed recently that costume designer Lucinda Wright was returning for Season 4 so expect pretty much more of the same in the costume department.
The Witcher Season 4 is in production for a 2025 release. Andrzej Sapkowski’s new Witcher book has a planned Winter 2024/2025 release with The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep anime set for a late 2024 release as well.
