The third season of Netflix’s The Witcher is fast approaching and while promotion mainly focused on Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan and Joey Batey, there are other new and returning cast that we’ll see.
Meng’er Zhang as Milva
Milva aka Maria Barring is a human who was adopted by the dryads of Brokilon. Meng’er Zhang‘s role as Milva in this season will be somewhat limited to only the very end of the season, but we heard she has great chemisty with Henry Cavill‘s Geralt.
Hugh Skinner as Prince Radovid
In the Netflix adaptation, Hugh Skinner‘s Radovid has been aged up and made from King Vizimir’s son into his younger and more clever brother.
Radovid will also be romantically and intimately involved with Jaskier, something we already reported on.
Nathan Laryea as Valdo Marx
Valdo Marx, the troubadour of Cidaris and Jaskier’s greatest rival is alive and kicking in The Witcher Season 3. He has been invited to play at the Thanedd ball.
On the path to Thanedd, Marx will encounter Jaskier and won’t under any circumstances pass on the opportunity to brag about his Thanedd invitation.
The mages
The next batch shows us Royce Pierreson as Istredd, Mimi M. Khayisa as Fringilla, Anna Shaffer as Triss, Lars Mikkelsen as Stregobor and Mahesh Jadu as Vilgefortz.
Perhaps the most interesting one here is Istredd with his big makeover, with a hairstyle not too dissimilar to Geralt’s. A play to impress Yen again?
Another curious one is Fringilla Vigo, out of prison, safe and sound. Her escape is quite interesting, but that’s a topic for another time.
Redanian Intelligence
The dynamic duo of Sigismund Dijkstra and Philippa Eilhart is once again up to no good.
But no matter what, don’t cross Dijkstra or heads will roll. Literally. Royal heads.
The elves
In more new shots, we see Mecia Simson as Francesca Findabair and Wilson Mbomio as Dara. Francesca has a few hardships this season and Dara, while wounded, will be okay.
The main characters
In an additional batch of new pics, we have our main cast: Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan and newly promoted to central cast Joey Batey.
The Witcher Season 4 is in production for a 2025 release. Andrzej Sapkowski’s new Witcher book has a planned Winter 2024/2025 release with The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep anime set for a late 2024 release as well.
