New The Witcher Casting Reveals an Exciting Ciri Arc in Season 3

Season 3 of The Witcher is currently in its third month of production with Henry Cavill, Freya Allan and Anya Chalotra working tirelessly on the new episodes. We already know several people, who will be joining them in the new season, and today we’ll reveal a few more.

One casting in particular hints at a little arc from Time of Contempt that’s very much anticipated by fans.

The most interesting new addition of today is Fabio Sachs, who will be played by Stuart Thompson. Fabio is a young boy, working at the Gors Velen bank, who was tasked by his boss Molnar Giancardi to take Ciri on a tour of the town, while he and Yennefer would discuss business.

At the end of their little adventure, there was the wyvern incident, which we are very much looking forward to see in live-action because we might finally get to see Ciri’s sword-fighting skills in real action, no longer with inanimate dummies of Kaer Morhen.

The whole episode was so beloved that CD Projekt Red even took direct inspiration from it and “adapted” it into a little side-quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Stuart Thompson‘s Fabio Sachs will appear in an episode directed by Gandja Monteiro, meaning 3 or 4. That’s when we should expect the Gors Velen arc to appear in the new season of The Witcher.

Thompson is a young stage actor who has appeared in such plays as Spring Awakening, Living Newspaper, Blood Wedding and more.

First up is Lucas Aurelio, who will play a character named Antony. It’s possible ‘Antony’ is just a codename. Aurelio has appeared in such projects as The Power, Heroes and Villains and The Admirer.

Next are George Wigzell (Bridgerton) and Abe Jarman (The Inside Man), who have both been cast in yet-undisclosed roles. It is, however, very likely that Wigzell will be playing an elf.

Season 3 of The Witcher is in production until September 2022 for a 2023 release. The live-action prequel The Witcher: Blood Origin is in post-production after two weeks of reshoots and is currently eyed for a Christmas 2022 release.
