During a new online special called The Witcher: Unlocked, we were presented with answers to many of our burning questions regarding Season 2, provided by Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, Kim Bodnia, Paul Bullion, Yasen Atour as well as showrunner Lauren Hissrich.

The event also revealed two deleted scene from The Witcher‘s second season. First one was a very brief one with Geralt and Triss from Episode 5 of Season 2, after Triss and Ciri come out of Dol Durzsa, the vision-packed sequence.

The second scene involved Stregobor and Vilgefortz. Lauren Lauren explained the deletion of this scene in an earlier interview: “To me, the history of Vilgefortz, who he is in this world – he enters almost as a complete stranger and everyone’s kind of wondering what his history is, where he came from. That comes into fruition in a huge way in season three, so that’s a scene that we wanted to hold back.”

Another notable thing from the Unlocked event was when showrunner Lauren Hissrich explained the controversial Eskel storyline in The Witcher Season 2. Read about it below:
