It is one month until the release of the second season of The Witcher on Netflix and the streamer has released dozens of new production stills featuring many of our favorites from Henry Cavill’s Geralt, Anya Chalotra’s Yennefer, Freya Allan’s Ciri, Kim Bodnia’s Vesemir and even a good look at Basil Eidenbenz’s Eskel.
Make sure to click on the images so see the Ultra HI-Res versions.
Episode 1, Part I: Geralt and Ciri
The first episode will feature mainly Geralt and Ciri at Nivellen’s adapting the iconic short story A Grain of Truth, but there will be other content as well. In this episode Ciri will get her new white dress, before reaching Kaer Morhen.
Episode 1, Part II: Yennefer and the mages
The other half of the first episode of the new season will deal with Yennefer and the other mages immediately after the Battle of Sodden Hill. Here we can see Tissaia, Vilgefortz, but Yennefer is already captured by then. Sadly, none of the new stills actually feature Yennefer in the first episode.
Episode 2, Part I: Yennefer, Fringilla, Francesca and the humble backstory of the Lodge of Sorceresses
The second episode of Season 2 will finally introduce Francesca Findabair played by Mecia Simson. We also see Yennefer casting some kind of spell, possibly while fighting to break free of her captors. And also that scene from the trailer where Francesca takes Fringilla And Yennefer to see that house on chicken legs.
Episode 2, Part II: Geralt and Ciri arrive at Kaer Morhen
This is perhaps the meat of the newest stills, the wolf pack of Kaer Morhen and everything that happens in Episode 2. We see Geralt and Ciri arriving, we see Vesemir, Lambert, Eskel, Coen, we see Geralt training, we see Geralt and Ciri talking in the Kaer Morhen lab while Geralt is examining a Leshy hand. A very packed episode full of surprises!
And as a bonus, we can tell where that Ciri and Triss still is placed in the second season: Episode 5.
And that’s it for today’s new stills! Only a month to go and we are excited to see what else the final 30 days of the wait will bring us!
