As part of their monthly coverage of Netflix’s The Witcher, IGN has released new interviews with the series’ stars. Earlier, they dropped an interview with Henry Cavill, who plays the witcher Geralt of Rivia, and now they’ve released two additional clips featuring Yennefer and Ciri.

First, take a look at IGN’s interview with Anya Chalotra, who plays the powerful sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg.

Chalotra was also interviewed by The Times, where she’s discussed the challenges of becoming Yennefer. “I connected to what I could connect to in the script,” Chalotra said. “That sexiness that’s spoken of so often with Yennefer, I often crossed that out and put ‘magnetic energy’. Or the comments that said ‘beautiful’, I again crossed out and put ‘magnetic energy’ — because that’s what it is to me.”

“I can’t play those things,” Chalotra said, cringing. “It’s just the energy she has that pulls people to her.” As to her character’s relationship with Henry Cavill’s Geralt, Chalotra described it as “animalistic and full of lust”.

Another IGN interview stars Freya Allan, who portrays the Lioncub of Cintra, Princess Ciri. This interview tells of Ciri’s journey, which will force her to rely on those who resent her family.

The Witcher launches its first eight episodes on Netflix next Friday, December 20. Watch it’s final trailer in the link below.
