The Witcher’s fifth and final season starring Liam Hemsworth, Freya Allan and Anya Chalotra is deep in post-production for a release later this year. While it’s likely a few months out, we are still learning new things about it, for example who will return in the final season.
Paul Bullion returns as Lambert; and not only him

We’ve learned that Paul Bullion will once again return as the red-haired witcher Lambert in The Witcher‘s final season along with Zates Atour‘s Coen. Both made an appearance in Season 4, but only Coen’s appearance was certain in Season 5. Now we know we’ll see both of them.
Both witchers are likely to be part of the Netflix’s version of Battle of Brenna. We’ve already reported that we’ll finally see Shani, played by Emily-Jo Young as well as Jeremy Crawford‘s Yarpen Zigrin.
That brings us to another unexpected return. We can confirm that Joseph Payne will return as Jarre in The Witcher Season 5. The return is somewhat unexpected as after several years, one would think a character that appeared only in one episode would have been forgotten, and yet he wasn’t.

Jarre was another part of the Battle of Brenna in the books and we’re curious to see how big of a part he’ll have in the show.
In other news, Danny Woodburn recently said farewell to Zoltan Chivay as he made his last performance as the character this week. He most likely means rerecording some lines as is the usual part of the ADR process in the studio.
The Witcher Season 5 is in post-production for a 2026 release. Andrzej Sapkowski’s new Witcher book Crossroads of Ravens is available internationally since September 30, 2025. CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 4 is now in full production.
