By The fourth season of Netflix’s The Witcher starring Liam Hemsworth, Freya Allan and Anya Chalotra came and went this October. The fifth and final season is in post-production, but we keep discovering new names attached to it. Today we have several new cast additions.
On the hunt for Ciri and likely ice skating
Four of these new castings are related to Ciri’s storyline. The fourth season ends with Leo Bonhart taking her prisoner. The bounty hunter and part-time rat exterminator won’t keep his promise to Stefan Skellen and will take Ciri to his cousin Dominik Houvenaghel instead.
Houvenaghel is a crime boss and is in the business of fighting pits. For Ciri, Season 5 starts in these fighting pits and as for Houvenaghel himself, we suspect that he is played by actor Neil Stuke (Silk, Game On), who has joined The Witcher Season 5.
In the books, eventually, Ciri escapes and Skellen gathers his own gang to hunt her down. We know two of those gang members to be joining the new season: Sam Pamphilon (Geek Girl, Malice) as Cyprian Fripp and Yinka Awoni (I May Destroy You, The Stranger) as Zadarlik.
There were two more: Rispat la Pointe already exists in the show and he was played by Andrew French in Season 4, while Bert Brigden, played by Ben Robson, was already used for The Rats: A Witcher Tale and was killed in that spinoff, so he won’t be joining Skellen’s gang.
Lastly, in Ciri’s storyline we have the fisherman named Gosta, played by Nick Chadwin (Catching Lightning). In the books, Gosta gives directions to Ciri when she’s heading towards Tor Zireael. A strong indication for a certain ice skating sequence there.
Other new castings for The Witcher Season 5
Actress Georgia Goodman (Wednesday, Master of None) has been cast as Madam Toulouse in the final season of The Witcher. Judging by the name, we can guess she’s the brothel madam in Beauclair. We know that Geralt and his gang will get to Toussaint in the middle of Season 5.
Other new names that we have are Fergus Rattigan (Then Barbara Met Alan) as Paddy the Dwarf and Clive Kneller (Sister Boniface) as High Priest. We can’t say what either of them do in the new season.
The Witcher Season 4 is has been out since October 30, 2025. Andrzej Sapkowski’s new Witcher book Crossroads of Ravens is available internationally since September 30, 2025. CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 4 is now in full production.
