Netflix’s The Witcher Season 4 starring Liam Hemsworth, Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan has come finally made its debut on Netflix on October 30 and now we have some early viewership numbers to compare with previous seasons.
The Witcher Season 4 early numbers are in

Netflix has revealed that The Witcher Season 4 has made its debut with 7.4M views. The new season debuted on No. 2 spot in Netflix’s Top-10 English-language series, which is a first. All three previous seasons as well as spinoffs debuted at No. 1 before.
Here’s the full Netflix statement: “Those looking for a more magical and mature spooky-weekend watch indulged in the new season of The Witcher, casting its spell at No. 2 on the English TV list with 7.4 million views.”
We can compare these numbers to The Witcher Season 3 numbers and it’s quite apples to apples since both seasons dropped on a Thursday, so we have exactly four days of data for both. We’ll also add three days of data for Season 2, which released on a Friday.
- The Witcher Season 2: 18.5 M (three days)
- The Witcher Season 3: 15.2M (four days)
- The Witcher Season 4: 7.4M (four days)
There are, of course, only debut numbers, but they set the pattern of what’s to come in the coming weeks. Season 4 of The Witcher‘s debut sees a decline of 51% from Season 3 and over 60% from Season 2. We don’t have such data on Season 1, but it would be even higher.
UPDATE: Week 2 and 3 numbers are up and The Witcher Season 4 went up to No. 1 in Netflix’s Top 10 list in week 2 before dropping to the second place again in week 3. Now the change over seasons looks like this:
- The Witcher Season 2: 52.67 M (17 days)
- The Witcher Season 3: 35.7M (18 days)
- The Witcher Season 4: 18.4M (18 days)
Now the drop is 48% from Season 3 and 65% from Season 2.
UPDATE 2: Unfortunately, we can’t do a more nice and definitive “one month” comparison between seasons as The Witcher Season 4 has dropped out of Netflix’s Top 10 list after three weeks, so we only have those first three weeks of data.

In the coming weeks, we’ll see more numbers and we’ll be able to compare even further. For now, this paints a picture of a significant amount of people checking out. In a year from now, it’ll be also curious to see Season 5 numbers, but we’ll get there later.
The Witcher Season 4 is has been out since October 30, 2025. Andrzej Sapkowski’s new Witcher book Crossroads of Ravens is available internationally since September 30, 2025. CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 4 is now in full production.
