Season 4 of The Witcher Gets a Musical Number

The fourth season of Netflix’s The Witcher is getting closer and closer to its release next month and while Netflix hasn’t started its promo machine yet, we surely have some new info to discuss. Today’s piece of news is a sequence that’s rather unexpected for a modern fantasy series.

One of the most fun sequences of The Witcher will be in the middle of Season 4, in an episode revolved around a fish soup. It’s a fan-favorite part of Andrzej Sapkowski’s Baptism of Fire where Geralt, Jaskier, Milva, Cahir and Regis sit down for a moment and cook a fish soup, meanwhile having moments of bonding.

In the show, the fish soup will be a little longer, more filled with various forms of exposition, characters telling their backstories with flashbacks. A good chunk of an entire episode will be dedicated to the fish soup, we hear. And flashbacks is where we get to Jaskier.

His own special flashback sequence is like a small-scale Witcher musical. Instead of just Jaskier singing, everyone is singing and dancing in it, including Valdo Marx as he somehow is involved in Jaskier’s past. We’ll surely finally find out why they dislike each other so much.

Additionally, last year we reported that we’d see flashbacks with young Cahir and young Milva in Season 4. They’d be played by Aaron Zicman and Leanne Ho respectively. We suspect this episode is when we’ll see those scenes as well.

By the sounds of it, the fish soup episode could turn out to be one of the more interesting episodes of the entire series. We don’t have too long left to find out.
