By Filming for the third season of HBO’s House of the Dragon starring Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke is currently underway and already in its second half of production schedule. HBO did sprinkle some casting announcements over the last few months, but there can always be more.
Adam Brown cast as Glendon Footly in House of the Dragon Season 3
We’ve learned that Adam Brown has been cast as Glendon Footly in the third season of House of the Dragon. Glendon Footly is the current lord of Tumbleton and with the Battle of Tumbleton being featured in the upcoming season, his involvement was expected as well.
Moreover, Jon Roxton has already been announced to be played by Joplin Sibtain (Andor) and we can perhaps expect an interaction between the two as well as Footly’s wife.
Adam Brown’s most notable role was the dwarf Ori in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy. With Graham McTavish who played Dwalin, that makes two out of thirteen dwarves from The Hobbit cast in House of the Dragon. Brown was also in Pirates of the Caribbean.
In other casting news, Joe Gaminara, Richard Riddell and William Oxborrow have been cast as Ser Lyonel Bentley, Ser Walys Mooton and Ser Freddryk respectively in House of the Dragon Season 3.
House of the Dragon Season 3 is in production for a 2026 release on HBO. Watch this space for more news!
