Cameras started rolling for HBO’s new Harry Potter series earlier this month and a lot of the cast has been already announced, including Harry, Ron, Hermione, Hargid and more. Nevertheless, plenty more cast members are yet to be revealed and today we can reveal one more.
Asha Soetan cast as Angelina Johnson

We can confirm that actress Asha Soetan has been cast as Angelina Johnson in HBO’s Harry Potter series. Johnson is a series regular role that is expected to span across most, if not all, seasons.
Angelina Johnson is a Gryffindor student, two years older than Harry. She later becomes captain of the Quidditch team and after the events of the books marries George Weasley, becoming Angelina Weasley.
In the original Harry Potter films, Angelina Johnson was portrayed by Danielle Tabor in the first three installments and later recast with Tiana Benjamin.
Asha Soetan’s credits include Odd Squad, The Friend as well as the upcoming Supergirl for DC Studios.
