By The final season of Netflix’s The Witcher is in its second month of filming with several more months to go. Now that the production is ongoing, we start getting more and more info about the last two seasons that will star Liam Hemsworth. One such piece of info is that we’ll be getting more flashbacks of principal characters.
We’ll see Milva with her father in The Witcher Season 5
We’ve learned that Chike Chan (Doctors, The Undeclared War) has been cast in The Witcher Season 5 as Old Barring, Maria Barring’s aka Milva’s father.
We previously reported that Leanne Ho will appear as Young Milva in episode 5 or 6 of Season 4, but now we’ll see her with her father in episodes 1 or 2 of Season 5 as well.
One very memorable scene in Andrzej Sapkowski’s books was a brief flashback where Milva’s father is teaching her to shoot from a bow. It happens quite late in Lady of the Lake, right in the middle of an important battle and just before a certain major event happens. We’ll see how that ends up being structured in the series.
Speaking of flashbacks, here’s a reminder that we’ll also see Young Cahir with his father Ceallach. They’ll be played by Aaron Zicman and Christopher Sciueref respectively, also in episodes 5/6 of The Witcher Season 4. We’ll await confirmation whether or not they’ll reappear in Season 5 as well.
The Witcher Season 4 is has been out since October 30, 2025. Andrzej Sapkowski’s new Witcher book Crossroads of Ravens is available internationally since September 30, 2025. CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 4 is now in full production.
