The fourth season of Netflix’s The Witcher, that will debut Liam Hemsworth taking over from Henry Cavill in the lead role, is deep in post-production with the release date being predicted later this year. While we wait, here is some casting news.
The Witcher casts Wheel of Time actor as Cahir’s Father

We’ve learned that Christopher Sciueref will play Ceallach aep Gruffyd, Cahir’s father, in The Witcher Season 4. In the books, Ceallach is a seneschal at Emperor Emhyr’s court. If Netflix didn’t change anything here, he’ll also be in Emhyr’s court in the new season.
Scuieref will be familiar to fantasy fans from his recurring role as Abell Cauthon in Amazon’s The Wheel of Time. He’s also been in such projects as Mission Impossible 7, 300: Rise of an Empire, The Last Kingdom, Vikings: Valhalla and more.
Previously we revealed that young actors Aaron Zicman and Leanne Ho will play young versions of Cahir and Milva in flashback scenes featured in The Witcher Season 4. As far as we know, those scenes will be in Block 3 of the new season aka episodes 5 or 6.
While those flashback scenes will be there, Sciueref may also appear in present day scenes alongsideEmhyr as well as James Purefoy’s Stefan Skellen.
The Witcher Season 4 is has been out since October 30, 2025. Andrzej Sapkowski’s new Witcher book Crossroads of Ravens is available internationally since September 30, 2025. CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 4 is now in full production.
