It’s been over a decade since Andrzej Sapkowski published his last Witcher book, Season of Storms. As we all know, the last few years he’s been working on a new one and the wait for Polish readers is almost over. On November 22 in the new issue of Nowa Fantastyka magazine, we will finally have the first chapter of the book. Meanwhile, they have just revealed the title and the cover art!
New Witcher book title – Rozdroże Kruków

It is now revealed that the title of the new Witcher book is Rozdroże Kruków. It can be translated from Polish as Raven’s Crossing/Crossroads or Crow’s Crossing/Crossroads or Crossing of the Ravens/Crows and perhaps other variations.
As English editions haven’t been revealed yet, we’ll see which variation will be chosen. The context of the story could likely be more fitting for one over the others.
The new Witcher book is about young Geralt
Andrzej Sapkowski revealed last year that the new book would be directly about Geralt, but we never knew which period of his life would it cover. It’s now known that the new book will be about young Geralt. And by young we mean really young, when he just started his path at about 18-20 years old.
“This time the grandmaster of Polish fantasy is going back to Geralt’s teenage years, who is only taking his first steps in the witch craft and has to face numerous challenges. Armed with two runic swords, he fights monsters, saves innocent virgins and helps unhappy lovers. Always and everywhere he tries to obey the unwritten code he got from his teachers and mentors. As usual, life spares no disappointments – youthful idealism clashes with reality from time to time.
The saga continues. The story never ends…“
This eliminates the possibility of the new book featuring most of Geralt’s friends aside from Vesemir, other witcher brothers, and perhaps a young Nenneke. We’ll know very soon who’s in and who’s out.
For many years Sapkowski said he wouldn’t write a prequel or a sequel, but it appears he changed his mind since then. Should he want to write more, this does allow for more books about young Geralt as it is decades before the earliest short stories take place.
The book will be released on December 1 in Poland with international release dates pending. The first chapter is now available to read in the new issue of Nowa Fantastyka.
The Witcher Season 5 is in post-production for a 2026 release. Andrzej Sapkowski’s new Witcher book Crossroads of Ravens is available internationally since September 30, 2025. CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 4 is now in full production.
