Production for The Witcher Season 4 started earlier this year in April, when Liam Hemsworth joined the rest of the cast, replacing Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia. From then followed a long journey of seven months and over 130 work days until it was over.
The Witcher Season 4 has finished production

After seven months, filming for The Witcher Season 4 is now finished. Filming started at Longcross studios, where their main hub is and soon after the cast and crew ventured outdoors, where we saw first glimpses of Liam Hemsworth, Freya Allan, Anya Chalotra, Laurence Fishburne and others.
One of the notable locations was Waverley Abbey where they filmed a refugee camp that book readers will surely recognize. It is where the horseshoe scene takes place featuring Laurence Fishburne’s Regis.
Later on, there was Wales with its gorgeous locations. There, among other things, The Witcher filmed a scene with Geralt’s Hansa on a barge on a river. What follows is the Battle of the Bridge from Baptism of Fire. The battle is a part of the final block of the season, directed by Jeremy Webb.
Here is Freya Allan bidding farewell to her co-stars this season:
Even though Season 4 is done, the fifth and final season is already written and is expected to enter production in four month according to Liam Hemsworth.
When will Season 4 be released? If we went by the timeline of Season 3, that season wrapped September 2022 and was released Summer 2023. So perhaps late Summer or Fall 2025 for Season 4? We’ll wait and see.
Here’s a gallery of some of the notable moments from Season 4 filming:
