By By now everyone already knows that Andrzej Sapkowski has been working on a new Witcher book. He revealed this about a year ago and promised to deliver his work on time. And he stuck to his word because now we know the official release date for Sapkowski’s new book!
New Witcher book arrives December 1, 2024 in Poland
During a press event earlier today, Andrzej Sapkowski revealed that his new Witcher book will arrive on December 1, 2024 in Poland.
There is currently no information about release dates in other countries. There is also no info about the book’s title, but it shouldn’t be too long.
Speaking to Gry Online, Sapkowski said that he’d gladly reveal the title, but his mouth is shut with a duct tape: “As far as I’m concerned, I wouldn’t make a secret of it, but my publisher categorically doesn’t want me to say anything more about it for marketing reasons, so what I can and can’t say is prohibited by the embargo.“
One key piece of information is that the Nowa Fantastyka magazine will feature the first chapter of the book in their upcoming edition on November 22. The magazine should be known to Witcher fans at it was the one where Sapkowski published his first Witcher short story.
As far as international release date is concerned, everyone is expecting it to be early 2025, so we’ll wait for new developments on that front. That largely depends on how far along are the translators at the moment and did they even get the manuscripts before the official release.
Last year Sapkowski confirmed that the book will be standalone and will be about Geralt: “The book is directly about Geralt, but I won’t say more. […] It is outside the pentalogy.“
The Witcher Season 4 is has been out since October 30, 2025. Andrzej Sapkowski’s new Witcher book Crossroads of Ravens is available internationally since September 30, 2025. CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 4 is now in full production.
