The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep Promotion to Start Soon

It’s been a very long time since we first learned of The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep. A year since the initial official announcement and about two-three years since we heard about in unofficially. Now we finally approach it’s imminent release date and Netflix will have to step up regarding its promotion. Thankfully, we know when that starts.

Promotion for The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep to kick off in September

September 2024 is when Netflix will hold its annual Geeked Week event and that’s where they will present a new teaser for The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep. Hopefully that’s when we also learn the release date. For now it’s only “late 2024”. So mark your calendars: September 16-20, Geeked Week.

From then on, we should likely start seeing a moderate amount of promotion for the anime, depending when it drops on Netflix. With luck, the promotion will intensify the final 3-4 weeks before the release, but one never knows with Netflix marketing department.

The anime is set between episodes 5 and 6 of The Witcher Season 1 and will adapt Andrzej Sapkowski’s A Little Sacrifice short story that was never adapted for live-action.

The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep will see Doug Cockle return to voice Geralt of Rivia as he did in the games and also Anya Chalotra with Joey Batey reprising their roles and Yennefer and Jaskier. Additionally, Christina Wren is voicing Essi Daven.

We don’t expect The Rats: A Witcher Tale to be among the announcements in September, but we’ll see if that changes with new information.

The Witcher Season 4 is in production for a 2025 release. Andrzej Sapkowski’s new Witcher book has a planned Winter 2024/2025 release with The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep anime set for a late 2024 release as well.
