By This is it, what we’ve been saying for a long time. Netflix just announced the end of The Witcher and the start of production for Season 4. We reported that The Witcher would end with Season 5 back in October last year and Netflix has just confirmed it along with a video of the table read for Season 4.
Along with that, Netflix also confirmed that the final two seasons would be filmed back-to-back, which we also called back in 2022.
Showrunner Lauren Hissrich commented in a press release:
“It is with huge pride that we begin shooting our penultimate season of The Witcher with a stellar cast, including some exciting new additions, led by Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia.
We’re thrilled to be able to bring Andrzej Sapkowski’s books to an epic and satisfying conclusion. It wouldn’t be our show if we didn’t push our family of characters to their absolute limit — stay tuned to see how the story ends.”
Netflix also revealed the directors and writers for The Witcher Season 4:

First look at Liam Hemsworth with the rest of the cast
The table read video gave us the first glimpses of Liam Hemsworth interacting with the rest of the Witcher cast. We can also see Joey Batey sporting his short hair, so we hope he’ll have that look in the final seasons, leaving the S2 and S3 looks behind.
Apart from the main four, we can also see Meng’er Zhang (Milva), Anna Shaffer (Triss), Hugh Skinner (Radovid), Safiyya Ingar (Keira), Graham McTavish (Dijkstra), Christelle Elwin (Mistle), Cassie Clare (Philippa), Mahesh Jadu (Vilgefortz), Therica Wilson-Read (Sabrina), Bart Edwards (Emhyr), Danny Woodburn (Zoltan), Laurence Fishburne (Regis), Ben Radcliffe (Giselher), Aggy K. Adams (Iskra), Connor Crawford (Asse), Guiseppe Lentini (Giancardi) and some new faces, who we’ll cover a little later.
This is the beginning of the end and we’ll be here, investigating and covering throughout, just like always. And also beyond, as Netflix’s The Witcher is only one branch of the franchise as there is also Andrzej Sapkowski’s new book coming soon and new Witcher games in development.
