The Witcher’s executive producer teases ‘interesting surprises’ between seasons

With the first season of Netflix’s The Witcher come and gone, we are looking into the future of the series and 2021 is when we will be able to watch the second season with Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan. Luckily for us, we may not have to wait that long for new Witcher content.

In a new interview with Telewizja wPolsce, executive producer Tomek Baginski teased the following: “We are planning a few more interesting surprises between seasons but I will not say exactly what will happen.”

While Tomek won’t say more at this point, we might already know what he could be implying here. A few months ago the ever-reliable Recapped reported that a tie-in animated Witcher series featuring some minor characters was in the works with the plan to release between Season 1 and Season 2.

When asked by IGN Poland about the possibility of an animated Witcher project back in November, Baginski said the following: “I don’t want to give away too much here, but who knows if we won’t see The Witcher in this style. However these are things I would rather not talk about too much for now.”

It’s very exciting to learn that the project is still on. Hopefully, we’ll learn more details soon enough.
