The third season of Netflix’s The Witcher is currently in active pre-production with the shooting start approaching sometime next month. And thus more and more information about the upcoming season begins to appear. Just recently we reported about castings news and his time we got to know the names of two directors of the third season. They are Stephen Surjik and Loni Peristere.

Stephen Surjik is already well known to fans of The Witcher series. In the second season, he directed the first two episodes: A Grain of Truth and Kaer Morhen. He has also recently worked on productions such as Reacher, The Umbrella Academy, Jessica Jones and Daredevil.

It’s worth noting that Surjik’s A Grain of Truth episode has received wide acclaim even from some of the more strict book readers and has been voted as the best ever episode of the series in our recent Twitter polls. Needless to say, provided the scripts are solid, we can expect something special from Mr. Surjik in Season 3.

Loni Peristere, in turn, is the newcomer in the directors lineup. He is an American director and co-founder of Zoic Studios a visual effects company. As a director, he has worked on such productions as A Series of Unfortunate Events, Warrior, Banshee and American Horror Story.

The question is which episodes and how many out of eight they will direct. So far, in both previous seasons, there were four main directors. At the moment, we know the names of only two directors who will be working on the third season of The Witcher. We can expect the other two to become known soon enough.

Are you looking forward to the third seasons production start knowing the directors? Let us know!

  1. Let us hope showrunner will not return… maybe Henry could do it.
The director of episode 1 is great, really like the episode. The other guy if he was doing banshee with A. Starr I am certain he is top tier.
They need someone at AAA level of acting with big name for Leo, Regis. Henry will not be enough.
P.S. too little of Djikstra in season 2 or Sabrina (or other strong women actually) I liked how in books she called king stupid or to shut up and listen
