By We all know that Vladimir Furdik, who played The Night King on HBO’s Game of Thrones was the fight choreographer for Netflix’s The Witcher, designing the fight scenes for Henry Cavill and the rest. But there is another rather surprising Game of Thrones connection we were unaware of.
Costume designer Tim Aslam revealed via his website that Richard Brake was originally going to play Ronin Mage, the unnamed assassin who attacks Yennefer and Queen Kalis in Episode 4. Due to unknown reasons the role was recast and the mage was played by Marcin Czarnik in the final product. Here’s what Brake was supposed to look like as the Ronin Mage:
Brake played The Night King on seasons 4 and 5 of Game of Thrones, while Vladimir Furdik played him in seasons 6, 7 and 8. Therefore, we have both Night Kings having worked on The Witcher at one point.
