Possible release date of The Witcher Season 1 and Season 2 filming rumours!

Netflix had already revealed the release period of season one of The Witcher as Q4 of 2019, but now we have a more specific premiere date: the NSFW blog Recapped reports that the much-anticipated season will drop on Netflix on December 20…and that’s not all!

Recapped also reports that filming of season two is rumoured to start either in December 2019 or January 2020. Assuming this is true and knowing that production of a season may take about a year, we could see season two in Q1 of 2021.

These rumours line up with the ones we knew from before: KC Walsh reported that Netflix was very happy with The Witcher and a season renewal could come very soon.

Recapped has been an incredibly reliable source of information on The Witcher. They were the first to post rumours of Anya Chalotra and Henry Cavill being cast, as well as news of Millie Brady’s Renfri being recast, and have been a trustworthy source for other tidbits too.

So, the season’s still more than a few months away, but keep your eyes on this space. We have some posts in the pipeline that’ll lessen the agony of the wait, including exclusive set photos…
